Frequently Asked Questions

What are UV DTF decals/transfers?

UV Direct to Film (DTF) decals use a full-color printing process to create vibrant, detailed designs on clear film. This film is then easily applied to hard surfaces like cups, mugs, laptops, water bottles, and phone cases. No heat press or special equipment is needed for UV DTF transfers. These decals are weather-resistant and scratch-resistant, but not dishwasher or microwave safe.

How to Apply UV Decals?

  • Clean the surface: Use a lint-free cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean the area where the decal will be applied. Let it air dry.
  • Remove the carrier sheet: Slowly peel off the clear transfer sheet. If the decal lifts, press it back down and rub to ensure it sticks before removing the sheet again.
  • Peel off the backing: Carefully remove the backing paper from the decal. Avoid touching the adhesive side.
  • Position the decal: Place the decal on the surface and smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles using your fingers or a plastic card (like a credit card). Start from the center and work out to the edges.
  • Apply pressure: Press down on the decal with your fingertips to ensure a strong bond.
